Ode To Fall Jacket

So I'm not much of a blogger - but I am a knitter and have produced lots, but I never get around to photographing them. But tonight, for your viewing pleasure, my hot-off-the-needles jacket.

Last year when I was raking leaves and enjoying all the reds, oranges, greens and brown, and the way the leaves all overlapped, I decided to design a sweater that had that spirit. Well this is it - it took a long time to find the right yarn (Silk Garden) and decide how to capture the spirit of the leaves at different angles and directions.

but although they certainly do look like fashionistas, the reason is very practical and sad. It is a way of helping their bodies cope with the traumas of oil spills.

Coolest Holiday Store Window Decoration

We were in Munich at the end of November and our last day there one of the department stores did their holiday windows. This was by far the best - the needles moved and she concentrated. Never dropped a stitch!
