Ode To Fall Jacket

So I'm not much of a blogger - but I am a knitter and have produced lots, but I never get around to photographing them. But tonight, for your viewing pleasure, my hot-off-the-needles jacket.

Last year when I was raking leaves and enjoying all the reds, oranges, greens and brown, and the way the leaves all overlapped, I decided to design a sweater that had that spirit. Well this is it - it took a long time to find the right yarn (Silk Garden) and decide how to capture the spirit of the leaves at different angles and directions.

Beautiful work! And I've heard plenty of good things about SG. I'm looking to start the Lizard Ridge afghan with the stuff. One of these days...

Thanks for sharing your engagement story. That's about what I expected from my fiancee, or actually all I needed :) but he outdoes himself every time!
